Our doctors share the same philosophy
in providing dental care. The goal is to work with each child to build a
positive attitude toward dental health that will be carried into adult
life. The vision is that every trip to our office will be fun and
special for the child. This is achieved by avoiding the need for
fillings in the early years through effective prevention counseling,
because checkup visits are the easiest visits. When fillings are
necessary, the child’s apprehension is addressed first, and treatment is
then provided in the most considerate manner possible.
With
over 20 years of experience practicing pediatric dentistry, Dr. Kevin
Snaer is highly dedicated to preventing cavities from developing in
young children. He has a very successful prevention program starting
from the time the child grows the first tooth.
As the father of four young children, he
understands the challenges that arise when parents address their child’s
diet, oral hygiene, and fluoride needs.
Dr. Stephanie Morphis and Dr. Tera Van Houten are both committed to
working with children who require treatment for cavities at early ages.
They are very supportive of parents who must decide what approach
is best for them.

Huntington Pediatric Dental Group has
developed an exceptional team of women who are dedicated to providing
genuinely warm personal service and the highest quality dental care.
Our
courteous and accommodating treatment coordinators have over thirty
combined years of experience with the practice.
For our patients who
have dental insurance, a software program is updated monthly in order to
provide the answers to individual policy questions, and all insurance
claims are submitted by our staff. The treatment
coordinators successfully manage a schedule that allows us to be
reliably on time. However, in the event that we have a delay, they
always accurately inform the patient of the time they will be seen.
Because we know that staying on track with check-ups is a key element in
our prevention plan, they work hard to keep patients informed by sending
appointment reminder cards and making personal confirmation phone calls.
In the treatment area our Registered Dental
Assistants, with the special qualifications described in WHAT SETS US
APART, have over fifty combined years of experience in our practice.
These women share the common desire to work exclusively with children.
That desire, combined with their experience, is what makes them so
talented at making children feel comfortable during their time in our
office. They understand the importance of delivering the highest quality
care. They are dedicated to performing thorough cleanings and taking
diagnostic x-rays in a manner that allows us to limit the number of
x-rays for each child.

Every patient that is on our schedule has a
staff member who is assigned to ensure that the patient is being served
well from the time of arrival until that child leaves happily with a
“prize” in hand. The staff’s commitment to professional care and
friendly service is one of the most common reasons why our patients
refer their friends to our practice.
